Consulate offers support for clean energy in foundry, forging units

The United States Consulate in Mumbai has expressed its willingness to support Indian medium, small and micro enterprises (MSMEs) in incorporating clean energy and reducing emissions in the foundry and forging segment.

Rob Anderson, the Public Engagement Unit Chief at the US Consulate General, Mumbai, emphasized the need for companies to implement clean energy technologies and process improvements that lead to efficiencies and reduced emissions, in support of global climate goals. Speaking at an interactive session jointly organised by MVIRDC Mumbai and Shiroli Manufacturers Association, Kolhapur (SMAK), Anderson said that multinational companies have policies and plans to meet global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and are increasingly diversifying their supply chains and investing in India.
