Zebra.
Now, who would name a machine after an animal when the machine tool industry had always been naming them with the measurements of dimensions or other specifications?
At Jyoti CNC, they wanted to come out of the conventional way and do things differently. And it was not merely with the name.
“We know Zebra as a determined, dynamic animal, and that’s how we relate the machine with those characteristics. We wanted to break out of the mould. We wanted our machine to be known as a value-based machine with those characteristics,” said Himanshu Shaparia, President Sales, Jyoti CNC Automation Ltd.
For Shaparia, it was great to be back post-pandemic at IMTEX 23 after a gap of 4 years. Jyoti CNC, informed Shaparia, it had launched products for different industry segments in this intervening time. It has launched new machines and updated existing ones to stay relevant to the industry’s needs in current times.
The company had a shaft lathe machine on the automation bridge for promotion at the venue. Jyoti CNC also developed a specific machine for blade grinding for the energy sector, which was promoted at the exhibition, besides the revolutionary Zebra. Its entire machine range was in line with the current and future requirements of the customer, according to Shaparia.
“All the products are developed with the centricity of the customer in mind and aimed to enhance productivity and precision of the components manufactured by the customers,” claimed Shaparia.
He spoke on various industry issues and stressed the centrality of the machine tool industry in the country’s growth objective. The government has set the target for the country to become a 5-trillion economy. For that to happen, the manufacturing sector has to grow. Schemes like the PLI are a reflection of that realisation. China plus one has also played a part. All these will have a rippling effect on the machine tool industry, felt Shaparia.
Marc Troia represented French subsidiary of Jyoti CNC, Huron Graffenstaden, at the exhibition. From the small vertical machine to the large machine with its palletisation system, Huron had a wide range of turning and milling products at low production costs for promotion at the exhibition.
