Manning, the front for Zoller at the presentation arena, was Amit Salunkhe, GM, Zoller India Pvt Ltd. After attending multiple international exhibitions, Salunkhe was happy with the footfalls at exhibitions in India and had an interesting point of view on it.
“I have always believed that the country’s economy is doing well if the footfalls in such shows are growing. If the footfall is low, then it means there are no buyers, and the economy is going down,” said Salunkhe simplifying the economics while giving his perspective on the current market scenario and business estimation.
He introduced Zoller as a company known for innovation and finding solutions to the industry’s needs. Among the recent products launched were the all-new powerShrink system, the precise tool balancing solutions and the digitally networked tool holding solutions. With these additions, the company has entirely completed its product portfolio around spindle solutions.
Zoller, he elaborated, was supplying to a large number of sectors. “Our core business has always been the automotive industry, but our product portfolio offers solutions for the electronic industry, aeronautics industry, stone tool industry, woodwork industry and a host of others. “For us, there is no boundary for the sectors we can supply products and solutions to,” he pitched.
However, he did not hold back on the challenges facing the industry. Discounting is an issue he pointed out and suggested that the customers need to value the products and solutions they use to increase their own value.
He prided on the social responsibility initiatives taken by his company. He cited the examples of his company sharing its solutions with the likes of IMTMA and SRM University, Chennai to ready the students for all the challenges in the global market.
