The automation industry is on the rise and is contributing towards increasing productivity, improving quality, consistency and reduced costs in manufacturing sectors. As a major Automation and equipment manufacturer, Mitsubishi Electric has been working strongly to support our customers with state-of-the-art technology. Along with developing products and solutions that match customers’ needs, Mitsubishi Electric utilizes its advanced technology to provide reliable solutions with an eye on the next generation of manufacturing.
After carefully examining the situation and supporting India’s fight against COVID-2019 pandemic, along with the promise of uncompromised safety and unmatched convenience, Mitsubishi Electric, a global leader in Factory Automation products has begun their work operations at the Pune manufacturing facility, while closely adhering to the advisory issued by the Central and State Governments and guided by the sole objective of securing health and safety of all its stakeholders.
Some key measures that the company has undertaken to keep its workers safe and protected include:
Training of Factory Staff
The factory staff have been trained rigorously on new guidelines on safety and hygiene measures for the safety of customers, vendors and themselves.
Health Monitoring of Factory Staff
The factory staff will be thoroughly monitored for their health as their safety and well-being is of paramount importance. This will also ensure our customer’s safety since our staff is the frontline interface with customers. All our staff members have been instructed to use Government of India’s
Aarogya Setu app to track their health status.
Online Service – Minimise customer – Staff interaction
The entire network will adopt contactless service processes through increased digitisation.
Factory Preparedness
Keeping in mind customer safety, the service staff have been trained to always wear protective safety gear and greet customers with Namaste, instead of handshakes. The sanitization of the vicinity and products is our priority.
To ensure safety and hygiene in operations, necessary changes have been incorporated during service.
The factory will be disinfected at regular intervals with availability of hand sanitizers across multiple locations at the facility.
We are planning to resume work operations at our manufacturing facilities in a phase-wise manner. This is the first phase, where we have abided the Government of India guidelines and ensuring every bit of safety for our employees. The employees who are residing near to the factory areas are aligned to work and the employees residing very far are advised to avoid long-distance travel and to minimize the contact during daily transit. While we assess the situation and safety measures of our employees, the Sales offices, Branch offices and Corporate office will gradually begin to re-open with limited staff attendance.
