IEEMA announces the 3rd edition of its 2-day event of E3

The theme of the event is Energy Transition, as it holds the key to tackling global energy and climate crisis.

The 3rd Edition of IEEMA Eastern Region flagship event – Empowering Energizing East – E3 will be held at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata, on 30th June and 1st July 2022.

The focus of this edition is to identify large sourcing requirements of electrical equipment of various organisations other than the state electrical utilities.

The session’s theme is Energy Transition as Energy Transition holds the key to tackling global energy and climate crisis. Jishnu Dev Varma. Chief Minister & Power Minister, Govt of Tripura, Prestone Tynsong. Chief Minister and Power Minister, Govt of Meghalaya S Suresh Kumar Addl. Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal, are to attend the inaugural session.

Vipul Ray, President of IEEMA, opined, “The Government of India has an extensive plan to generate more green power from sustainable renewable energy resources. Therefore, a modern state of art micro grid research infrastructure is highly required in India for carrying out extensive research in this area. Eastern India offers tremendous potential for infrastructure development and investment opportunities. Thus the focus of E3 would be revolving around subjects like Emerging Technologies for Electrical and Electronics Industry, smart cities and future business opportunities.”
