TRUMPF India had busy days during IMTEX Forming 2020. It had two major attractions — TruLaser (2D Laser Cutting machine ) 6m x 2m with 6 kW Laser power and TruLaser Cell with 2D cutting, 3D cutting and Tube cutting capability. In nutshell, TRUMPF had a focus on Technology including digital tools like Smart Glass for remote support and TruTops Monitor for remote monitoring.

Speaking about its display, Pradeep Patil, Managing Director, TRUMPF India said, “We had a productive response from visitors for both of these machines and customers have appreciated value added tools like Smart Glasses and TruTops Monitor. There are various options available for laser cutting machines with higher KW in the expo, however, edge of advantage is our technology which keeps us ahead of the competition in a way of deliverables from offered solutions by TRUMPF. The various features and robust design of TRUMPF products with support infrastructure in India defines a strong roadmap, a quick ROI and longevity of products for our customers.”

“Additionally, we also have a focused business vertical ‘Additive Manufacturing’ and display components made out of this technology shows our strength. Our 3D printing technology for metal has generated curiosity among the visitors from various sectors like aerospace, defence, dental, automotive etc.,” he added. 

Continuing further on the advantages of the 3D printing, he said, “This technology is getting popular. It is looked at as a preferred option when it comes to prototyping or something which is difficult to create by conventional processes with simplistic approach.

Forming technology is gaining importance in the country. Commenting on it, Patil said, “Definitely, it is gaining momentum and the sector should continue to register better growth this year. Railways and Metro segment have been using forming technologies extensively and we see continued potential in these segments. Moreover, new segments like metal furniture, kitchen equipment, pre-fabricated structures etc. are opening up new opportunities for us and our customers.”  

Furthermore, Patil is optimistic about 2020, he said, “On the backdrop of current economic situation, we can expect coming year to be smooth and lot of opportunities for our customers to grow in their business.  Therefore, we are working on the strategies and coming up with new solutions which are beneficial for our customers as well as for us. We are also trying to reach untapped markets to create business opportunities for our customers and us by educating the market. To mention it again, highlighting the brighter side of the scenario, forming technology is gaining traction. Combining these efforts, I am sure TRUMPF India will have a better year ahead.”
