In February 2021, Piaggio launched its FX range of electric vehicles in both the cargo and passenger segments and has now gained 55% of the cargo electric three-wheeler market. Currently, Piaggio is the market leader in L5N Electric three-wheeler Cargo segment for the period H1 FY 2021-22.

The new Apé E-Xtra FX is a powerful electric cargo in the segment with 9.5 Kw power output. It comes with a proven full metal body architecture fitted with a useful 6 ft. cargo deck length. It is also customizable for applications like the delivery van for the e-commerce segment & garbage collector for municipal applications etc. Piaggio has developed various institutional & government applications with EV garbage tipper as 1st of its kind vehicle for Swachh Bharat application.
