IndoSpace launches ‘Swachh Sundar Chakan’ initiative

IndoSpace, India’s premier and largest developer of modern industrial and logistics real estate, has launched ‘Swachh Sundar Chakan’ drive under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. Aligning with the Government of India’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, IndoSpace announced the cleanliness drive across Chakan area of Pune. The initiative aims to raise awareness about waste segregation amongst the community living in the respective region.

The event was launched in Mahlunge Ingale village in the presence of Kalpana Kamble, Sarpanch of Mahlunge Ingale. Also present at the event were Shivaji Varpe (Panchayat Samiti-Mhalunge Ingale), Mahlunkar (Vice Sarpanch-Mhalunge Ingale) and Rohidas Tupe (Mahlunge Ingale).

Rajesh Jaggi, managing partner, real estate, Everstone Group, said: “Besides creating world-class industrial and warehousing parks, IndoSpace’s mission is to upgrade the communities and the eco-system around these parks to world-class level. We wanted to launch our first CSR initiative here as Chakan holds a special place for us. Our first park was inaugurated in this location and we strive to contribute towards the betterment of Chakan.”

Currently, IndoSpace has 6 parks in Chakan area catering to global companies with large scale distribution and light manufacturing requirements including leading auto, retail, manufacturing and 3PL (third party logistics service providers) companies among others. Some of the companies partnering with IndoSpace in Chakan are IKEA, Ericsson, Amazon, Steelcase, Valeo among others.
